Srinagar: The death toll due to the Coronavirus has crossed 600-mark in Jammu and Kashmir as 14 more patients including a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man died on Friday in Kashmir division.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that 14 patients who died include a 52-year-old CRPF man of 61 battalion, a 70 year old man from Budina Budgam, an 85-year-old man from Drangbal Pampore, a 70-year-old woman from Sopore Baramulla, a 62-year-old man from Gantmulla Baramulla, a 65-year-old man from Wagoora area of Baramulla, a 70-year-old male from Drass, a 70-year-old woman from Qazipora Bandipora, a 65-year-old male from Chadoora Budgam, a 75-year-old male from Shopian, a 65-year-old lady from Chadoora Budgam, a 74-year-old man from Kralpora Budgam, a 70-year-old woman from Chattabal Srinagar and a 67-year-old male from Dalgate Srinagar.
An official from SKIMS Soura said that a 52-year-old CRPF man from 61 battalion Shivpora Srinagar who was admitted on 18 August, died on Friday.
He added that a patient from Budina Budgam who was admitted on 20 August, an 85-year-old man from Drangbal Pampore who was admitted on 14 August and a patient from Sopore who was admitted on 08 August also died on Friday.
He further added that the latest report of a patient from Sopore was negative.
An official from SMHS said that a patient from Gantmulla Baramulla who was admitted on 17 August, a patient from Kachu Maqam Wagoora Baramulla who was admitted with Chronic Kidney disease, diabetes and bilateral Pneumonia on 08 August, a patient from Drass who was admitted on 16 August with COPD, hypertension, sepsis and pneumonia, a patient from Qazipora Bandipora who was admitted on 20 August, a patient from Chadoora who was tested positive through rapid antigent test, a patient from Shopian who was undergoing treatment from last many days and a patient from Chadoora Budgam who was admitted with diabetes and hypertension on 20 August died at SMHS in last 24 hours.
An official from JVC Bemina said that a patient from Kralpora Budgam who was admitted on 18 August and a patient from Chan Mohalla Chattabal Srinagar who was admitted on 14 August died on Friday.
An official from CD hospital told KNO that a patient from Dalgate Srinagar who was admitted on 11 August died on Friday.
With 14 more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 606 including 565 from Kashmir division and 41 from Jammu division—(KNO)
