Srinagar: Ten more patients including a CRPF man who was tested positive for COVID-19, died on Thursday in Kashmir, thus taking the toll of total deaths due to the virus in Jammu and Kashmir to 592.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that ten patients who died include a 50-year-old CRPF man from 61BN, an 87-year-old man from Tral, a 65-year-old woman from Khanda Budgam, a 60-year-old man from Bamroo Magam, a 70-year-old woman from Yunsu Handwara, a 65-year-old man from Jawahar Nagar Srinagar, a 70-year-old man from Sopore, a 56-year-old woman from Lal Bazar Srinagar, a 70-year-old woman from Dialgam Anantnag and a 65-year-old man from Pattan Baramulla.
An official from SMHS said that a CRPF man from 61 battalion Shivpora, who was suffering from bilateral Pneumonia and was tested positive for COVID-19, died on Thursday.
He added that a patient from Tral who was admitted on 11 August, a patient from Khanda Budgam who was admitted on 17 August, a patient from Bamroo Magam who was admitted on 10 August, a patient from Yunsu Hardwara who was admitted on 18 August, a patient from Jawahar Nagar who was admitted on 30 July and a patient from Pattan Baramulla who was admitted on 19 August died on Thursday.
An official from SKIMS Soura said that a patient from Sopore Baramulla who was admitted on 09 August with Chronic Kidney disease, bilateral Pneumonia and other ailments died and a patient from Palpora Dailgam who was admitted on 17 August also died on Thursday.
An official from CD hospital Srinagar told KNO that a patient from Lal Bazar Srinagar who was admitted on 30 July died of COVID-19 on Thursday.
With ten more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 592 including 551 from Kashmir division and 41 from Jammu division—(KNO)
