Baramulla: Inhabitants of Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday carried out a protest rally against blasphemous video that went viral a few days back.
Reports reaching the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the people in large number participated in the protest rally, who were carrying placards, demanding capital punishment for those fanatics of Reasi, who used incendiary remarks against beloved Prophet (PBUH).
Meanwhile, Officials from the district administration and police team stopped the protesters from heading towards Pattan market near Bilal Colony.
They assured the protesters that they will take up the matter with authorities and raise their demands with them.
Pertinently, police have already arrested three persons and a formal case has been registered against them after a blasphemy video went viral on social media.
Police officials said the protesters dispersed peacefully—(KNO)
