KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 24: A team of officials headed by Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Kulgam, Dr Mohammad Zubair today recovered a fine of Rs 50,000 from traffic violators.
While intensifying checking and acting tough against traffic violations the said team conducted checking on different routes and charged fines over the traffic violations.
Sharing the details, the ARTO said that the fine to the tune of Rs. 50, 000 has been realized in different offences from vehicle owners and drivers by the Motor Vehicle Department Kulgam adding that many vehicles were also blacklisted on spot by the department.
He said that traffic rules are meant for safety of people and to follow these rules is instrumental to avoid accidents.
He informed that regular checking will continue and those found violating the rules will be dealt sternly.
