DDC polls: PAGD, Congress leaders hold meet in Jammu

Will work out adjustment of candidates, modalities: Ravinder Sharma

Jammu, Nov 12(KNO): Leaders of Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) and Congress party Thursday met in Jammu and deliberated on the various issues with regard to the upcoming District Development Council (DDC) Polls.

Provincial President of National Conference Devinder Rana said that after recent alliance of NC, PDP and other secular parties under PAGD and consent from Congress also to contest DDC polls jointly, the maiden meeting of all these political parties was held in Jammu.

He said that main aim of this alliance is to give best candidates for DDC polls in Jammu and Kashmir.

Chief Spokesman of Congress party, Ravinder Sharmat told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that they discussed everything in the meeting for hours together and worked out all the modalities and adjustment of candidates.

” We are working out all the modalities and adjustment of candidates and prime aim at this moment is to field best candidates,” Sharma said.

Former MLC and senior PDP leader, Surinder Chowdhary, who was representing PDP in the meeting, said that the alliance is not only for DDC polls but is for welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir.

” We all are aware about present situation in Jammu and Kashmir where voice of a common man is not being heard and we want to correct the things,” said Surdinder—(KNO)
