Unexploded shells defused in Uri: Army

Baramulla: Army on Monday claimed to have defused mortar shells in two places of Kamlakote area of border town in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), India and Pakistan exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) in several places and killed four civilians, one Sub Inspector of BSF and five army men.

Army sources told KNO that some of the unexploded mortar shells fired by the Pakistan Army were recovered in Uri areas and were destroyed later at a safer place.

Meanwhile, police officials that the mortar shells were recovered at Kamlakote area, which were found unexploded and were defused this afternoon—(KNO)
