Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday recorded 09 Covid-19 related deaths taking the death toll to 1,613 in the Union Territory while 574 positive cases were reported taking the tally of positive cases to 104,155 in J&K.
Of the exact number of 104,155 cases, 62,853 are from Kashmir and 41,302 from Jammu division. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 574 new cases, 333 belong to Kashmir division while as 241 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 62,853 including 57,878 recoveries and 1,068 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 41,302 including 39,094 recoveries and 545 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 5,570 including 3,907 from Kashmir division and 1,663 from Jammu division.
With 580 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 96,972 which is 93.10 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 136 from Srinagar, 50 from Baramulla, 46 from Budgam, 17 from Pulwama, 24 from Kupwara, 12 from Anantnag, 17 from Bandipora, 28 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 241 from Jammu division include 96 from Jammu, 07 from Rajouri, 50 from Udhampur, 25 from Doda, 16 from Kuthua, 06 from Poonch, 09 from Samba, 20 from Kishtiwar, 10 from Ramban and 02 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Notably, in the last 24 hours nine persons who were tested positive for COVID-19 have died, among them five belong to Kashmir division and four to Jammu division
As per media bulletin, patients who have died include two from Srinagar and one each from Baramulla, Budgam and Pulwama in Kashmir division and two each from Jammu and Doda districts in Jammu division.
As per officials figures, 21,820 positive cases including 401 deaths and 19,845 recoveries are from Srinagar, 7,053 including 159 deaths and 6,283 recoveries are from Baramulla, 6,548 including 6,176 recoveries and 98 deaths are from Budgam, 4,901 including 4,675 recoveries and 86 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,951 including 78 deaths and 4,348 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,453 including 4,182 recoveries and 76 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,273 cases including 4,074 and 49 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,012 including 3,680 recoveries and 37 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,557 including 2,437 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,285 including 2,178 recoveries and 36 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 19,317 including 18,436 recoveries and 285 deaths are from Jammu district, 3,334 including 3,198 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,104 including 2,802 recoveries and 36 deaths are from Udhampur, 2,856 including 2,670 recoveries and 52 deaths are from Doda, 2,643 including 2,530 recoveries and 34 deaths are from Kuthua, 2,359 including 2,247 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Poonch, 2,303 including 2,164 recoveries and 26 deaths are from Samba, 2,222 including 2,067 recoveries and 16 deaths are from Kishtwar, 1,780 including 1,659 recoveries and 18 deaths are from Ramban and 1,384 including 1,321 recoveries and 08 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin, 742,168 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 20,123 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 5,570 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 681,317 persons have completed surveillance period and 33,545 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 2,701,918 samples are available.
Out of 2,701,918 the number of samples tested negative stands at 2,597,763 while as 104,155 have tested positive, among them 5,570 persons are active, 96,972 persons have recovered and 1,613 persons have died—(KNO)
