One CRPF, two civilian injured in Sopore militant grenade attack

Baramulla: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and two civilian were injured in a militant hand grenade attack in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district Friday afternoon.
Panic gripped in main Sopore town when militants lobbed a hand grenade towards security forces neat State Bank of India (SBI) this afternoon. A CRPF jawan received minor splinter injuries who was hospitalized, they said.
Two civilians were also injured in the incident, they said.
People present in the area ran for safety after the blast, sound of which was heard in the entire town.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, they said.
