Baramulla: With heightened security arrangements placed ahead of the 75th Independence Day, the Jammu and Kashmir police have put the entire northern belt of Kashmir under drone surveillance stating move will help keep a close vigil on the suspects.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the official twitter handle of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police North Kashmir Range read that the entire northern belt of the valley including Baramulla, Bandipora, Sopore, and Handwara has been put under drone surveillance on the eve of Independence Day.

Same Surveillance and alertness are being maintained in all the districts”, the tweet read. “Kupwara, Bandipora, Sopore, and Handwara of North Kashmir Range among the districts put under drone surveillance.”
It further said that “Grateful for the cooperation to the public of North Kashmir Range.”
Earlier, while talking to reporters on the side-lines of a full-dress rehearsal at SK Stadium, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir range, Vijay Kumar said that all security forces are on high alert to foil any possible attempt by the militants. “I request people to come in large numbers to attend the I-Day functions in Kashmir without any fear,” he said—(KNO)
