Modi wish Gehlot a speedy recovery after surgery

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wished Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot a speedy recovery as the senior Congress leader undergone angioplasty at SMS hospital in Jaipur on Friday.

‘Praying for your good health and swift recovery,” Modi tweeted. Meanwhile, Gandhi took to Facebook to wish Rajasthan CM.

“Wishing Shree Gehlot good health and a speedy recovery”, his post translated to English said. Gandhi had posted the original message in Hindi.

The 70-year-old Gehlot was found to have a 90 per cent blockage in one of the main arteries after which he was subjected to coronary angiography, angioplasty and stenting.

However, the CM is recovering after the minor surgery, according to the hospital.

“The procedure was uneventful and post-procedure he is recovering well,” a statement by the hospital read.

Gehlot was admitted to the hospital after experiencing severe chest pain. He had announced his health update on Twitter.

“Post Covid I was having health issues and since yesterday I was having severe pain in my chest. Just got my CT Angio done in SMS hospital. Angioplasty will be done. I am happy that I’m getting it done at SMS Hospital. I am fine and will be back soon. Your blessings and well wishes are with me,” he had said in a tweet.
