Infiltration attempts increased recently, troops capable of tackling any situation: DGP

Srinagar: Noting that infiltration attempts by militants from across the Line of Control (LoC) into Indian side have increase in the recent time, Director General of Police (DGP) of J&K Dilbagh Singh on Friday said that alert troops are capable of tackling any situation.

“In the recent times, infiltration attempts have increased from Rajouri, Poonch in Jammu and Kupwara, Baramulla in Kashmir from Pakistan-administrated Kashmir (PaK),” the DGP told reporters on the sideline of Prize distribution function of the 32nd Police-Public Mela 2020 in Srinagar.

However, he said troops are capable enough to tackle such attempts. “Cross border infiltration has been a cause of concern but all attempts of pushing militants in our side are being foiled,” Mr Singh said.

He said every militant, who has infiltrated into this side, is being neutralized and forces are keeping a watch on such activities.
