Srinagar: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is utilizing the services of Schedule Tribe (ST) Morcha to further strengthen the party base in the far flung and remote areas in the Jammu and Kashmir.
A BJP spokesman said Tuesday afternoon that BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul today held a meeting with District Presidents, General Secretaries and Office Bearers of party ST Morcha J&K in Srinagar.
The meeting was chaired by former Minister Abdul Ganie Kohli who has been recently nominated Prabhari J&K ST Morcha.
Koul said that ST Morcha played a vital role in strengthening the party base in far flung areas, and reiterated them to focus and work hard to strength the party cadre at far flung areas.
He also said that the objectives of constituting ST Morcha in BJP is to provide a plateform to members of Gujjars and Bakkarwal community in the party so that they could inform them about the various welfare schemes launched by the government for the poor and needy people.
The party workers were also asked to work hard and reach out them and bring them into the party fold by highlighting the BJP led Narendra Modi’s schemes, ” Koul said.
Kohli said the BJP is putting all efforts to bring development to every corner of the J&K. That Gujjar tribal is a pure nationalist and development of this community is need of hour, ” he said.
He asked party leaders to focus towards the Tribal development especial nomads.
