UPSSF may guard Lucknow airport externally

Lucknow: On the directives of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, it has been planned that the security of the external ring of Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport could be handed over to the newly constituted UP State Security Force (UPSSF).
Though a final call is yet to be taken and Director Information Shishir clarified that the proposal is yet to be approved by the competent authorities.
Earlier, in a press release issued by the state government it was stated that preparations are being made to hand over security of the airport to UPSSF. It was stated that during a meeting Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad on Wednesday directed the departmental officers to dispose of the files related to this expeditiously. He said that no file should remain pending for more than two days.
It may be noted that the state government has constituted UPSSF for the security of important installations and places in the state. Security of Lok Bhawan, which houses the CM office, has already been handed over to the UPSSF.
He directed the implementation of the e-Office system in the home department, so that no time gets wasted in paperwork. Prasad reviewed the Integrated Grievances Redressal System (IGRS) and six months action plan of the department at Command Center.
He directed all the departmental officers to prepare a list of 10 oldest pending cases and ensure speedy disposal. He also directed that old cases of IGRS should be disposed of on priority.
