PM Modi holds massive roadshow in Kharge’s turf

Kalaburagi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a massive roadshow in Kalaburagi, AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge’s turf in the runup to May 10 assembly election in Karnataka.

Flanked by Union Minister Bhagawanth Khuba and MP Umesh G Jadhav, PM Modi’s roadshow began at around 6.30 pm from KMF.

As his specially-designed vehicle moved about, a large number of his supporters gathered to greet PM Modi, and several showered flowers and raised chants of “Modi Modi”, all along the 5-km route.

Many of them were clicking pictures of PM Modi to keep those pictures as cherished memories and some supporters carried cutouts of the prime minister.

PM Modi waved at the enthusiastic supporters that had gathered to witness the mega event.

The roads of the city were dressed in saffron, while people waved the BJP flags, besides festoons and posters, adorned the nook and corner of the road.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister participated in public meetings in Chitradurga, Hosapete in Vijayanagar and Sindhanur in Raichur.

The assembly elections in Karnataka will be held on May 10 and the results will be declared on May 13.
