Hyderabad: In order to help General Public from fraudulent deception, Department of Telecommunications (DoT) had undertaken massive exercise using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Powered face recognition solutions for telecom SIM verification for identifying the fraudulent connections and agencies (POS) issuing such connections.
Accordingly, Telecom Service Providers (TSP) lodged police complaint on 72 such fraudulent agencies involved in issuing fake connections, an official release said here on Tuesday.
Police authorities have assured prompt action on the concerned agencies.
However, such numbers 50,825 in both Telangana & Andhra Pradesh states have been disconnected by DoT.
