Israeli forces kill 3 Palestinians in West Bank raid

Jerusalem: Three Palestinians were killed and six others wounded in an Israeli military raid in the occupied West Bank on Monday, Palestinian and Israeli sources said.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed in a statement that three men were killed in the refugee camp of Balata near Nablus city and six people were injured, including one with serious injuries.

An Israeli military spokesperson said in a statement that during the raid, the forces arrested three individuals suspected of involvement in attacks and confiscated three M-16 rifles and other military equipment.

“The armed suspects fired at the soldiers, who responded with live fire,” according to the statement.

The Israeli forces had also detonated an explosives manufacturing site containing dozens of kilograms of explosives, the spokesperson said.

In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said the recent fatalities “are part of the daily killing of Palestinians in the occupied territories” and called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to prosecute Israelis responsible for these acts.
