49 container bombs confiscated from Naxal hide out in Aurangabad

Aurangabad: In a joint operation the local police and Central reserve police forces confiscated 49 containers of bombs, 11 detonators, 17 batteries and other equipment including naxal documents from the forests near Chakarbandha village under Madanpur police station area here 8n the district.

Police superintendent Nav Vaibhav said here on Tuesday that a massive raid was launched in the forest near Chakrabandha village following a tip off.

He said that the police got an information that some extremist were planning their major operation. After getting the information the security personnel of local police, CRPF, Cobra battalion and other forces laced with fire arms conducted the raid and recovered the explosives along with equipment and naxal documents.

Vaibhav said it seems that the extremists were planning to attack the police force. An FIR has been lodged in this connection and raid was still continuing to nab the extremists.UNI
