Comic timing of ‘Jogira Sara Ra Ra’ will help you de-stress: Nawazuddin & Neha

New Delhi: Bollywood is all set to see a fresh pairing of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma in Kushan Nandy’s upcoming romantic comedy ‘Jogira Sara Ra Ra’.

Written by Ghalib Asad Bhopali, the film also stars Sanjay Mishra and Mahaakshay Chakraborty in supporting roles. Nawazuddin will be seen as Jogi Pratap, while Neha plays the character of Dimple Chaubey in the rom-com.

In an exclusive interaction with UNI, the duo talks about the film, their roles, journey and much more.

Talking about the movie, Neha said, “Script is very good, Nawaz is there in the movie, and the writing is spectacular.” While, Nawaz (jokingly) shared that he said ‘yes’ to the project because of Neha.

If she had any inhibitions of working with Nawaz, the ‘Crook’ fame actress said, “he is a very easy going chilled actor. He is a very normal person. He comes on the set, does his job, and goes. He does not show that he is a superior actor, but a very down to earth person.”

She further said that after working with Nawaz, “I got a new zeal, energy. There is a sudden ‘light bulb’ moment in my life, and now I have to see whether I can execute it or not. There should be a clarity of what you have to do, then try to figure a way to do it. This is my new motivation coming from him.”

On how much they can relate to their characters in the movie, the 49-year-old actor said, “I can relate to a few things with my character. I have also done some ‘jugaad’ in my life.”

Neha added to this, saying, “Dimple is a very outspoken girl, which is something I have in common with Dimple. Dimple is a bit crazy, but I am not. I think I am very sensible.”

Talking about his journey from ‘actor’ to ‘star’, Nawaz said, “I am not a star. I am only an actor, and I try to do good acting. I always try to do good work, how much it gets executed that depends.”

If the meaning of love and marriage has changed now-a-days, Neha said, “of course it has changed a lot. There is no time to go on real dates.”

The ‘Manto’ fame actor said, “I don’t know about marriage, but I can tell you about love. If your love is only dependent on Whatsapp, if you break up on it, then it’s not love, its something else.”

Nawaz, further told the process he follows to bring honesty to the characters he portrays on the screen. “I do ‘tratak kriya’. If you practice this for even five days, your eyes become very meaningful,” he shared.

Neha and Nawaz also gave five reasons to watch ‘Jogira Sara Ra Ra’. “It is a comedy film. Life is full of so much stress, so it will bring a laughter quotient and help you de-stress. Timing of the release of the movie, and you will get to see a new pair,” they said.

Jointly produced by Kiran Shroff and Naeem Siddiqui, the flick is slated to release on May 26.
