My Youth My Pride: Competitions in Carrom, Chess disciplines held on Day-2 at J&K’s Banihal

Jammu: Under My Youth My Pride, Phase-3 programme as a part of G20 events, the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council on the second day conducted competitions in the disciplines of carrom and chess on Wednesday in Banihal belt of Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per official handout, the events were conducted at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Banihal under the guidance Secretary Secretary J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul and Supervision

of Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, Ashok Singh.

Ajay Gupta, Incharge K K Hakku Stadium, Vikas Magotra, Incharge Football Ground GGM Science College, Arvind Satti, Taekwondo Instructor KIC, Gool, Bilkis, Volleyball Instructor KIC, Banihal conducted the activities.

“Such activities are a significant step towards nurturing and developing the talent of sports among budding youth,” said the officials.

Students from adjoining areas and nearby schools also participated in competitions in different age categories while refreshments were also distributed among the participants.
