Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday asked the party members to work with all sincerity to strengthen the party at the booth level and to help the party win the coming election in Odisha.
There should be no doubt in the minds of any one about it and get ready for the fight, Shah said while interacting with the state party office bearers, MPs, MLAs and Core Committee members at the party office here.
Shah arrived here on Friday on a two -day visit to the state.This morning he inaugurated and laid foundation of NHAI projects and reviewed the LWE and Disaster Preparedness with the state government officials in presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Later he went to the party office and during his interaction with the party workers and leaders Shah advised them how to get themselves ready for the coming election.
After the meeting, BJP state President Manamohan Samal told newspersons that the Modi government is committed to improve the standard of living of the people of the state.
He said during the last nine years of the Modi government the Union government has given Rs 18. 83 lakh crore for the development of Odisha against Rs 2.93 lakh crore released during ten years of UPA rule.
Samal said Shah had appealed to BJP leaders to apprise people about the failure of the state government and corruption in the state and achievements of the BJP government at the centre during its nine-year rule.
He said the people of the state are deprived of their basic minimum facilities and leading miserable lives due to large scale corruption.
The BJP State President said the Union Home Ministerasked the party leaders to remain in touch with the 4.5 crore people of the state as a responsible Opposition Party.
He also advised the party members to organise agitation at the panchayat, block and district level and take it to its logical end.
