Jammu: A man has been arrested with contraband of poppy straw on Thursday in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said that acting on inputs, one person identified Abid Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Mattan and Anantnag, who was on its way from Srinagar towards Jammu, was intercepted at Udhampur in his car.
During frisking, 34-kg of poppy straw was recovered from his possession and a case under relevant sections was registered for further necessary action.
