Anurag Thakur hits out at Congress, Shiv Sena

Nagpur: Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Monday took a dig at Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) over “Sanatan Dharma” and said efforts were being made to insult it.

Thakur’s remarks came amid a political row after DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin criticised Sanatan Dharma” for promoting division and discrimination among people and sought its eradication.

Anurag Thakur condemned Uddhav Thackeray and Rahul Gandhi’s silence over Udhayanidhi Stalin’s statement that “Sanatan Dharma” is like dengue and malaria and needs to be eradicated.

Expressing deep concern over Stalin’s remarks, the Union minister said the opposition should break its silence over insults to “Sanatan Dharma”.

Referring to Rahul Gandhi’s comments on the India versus Bharat debate, the Union Minister said some people have the habit of spreading fear and confusion and telling lies and added that they have been doing this all their lives.

On Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray’s statement that a “Godhra-like” incident may take place after the inauguration of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh(UP), Thakur said some people have forgotten their ideology for the greed of power.

Thakur further said, “I don’t know what Balasaheb Thackeray would have thought today and what his son (Uddhav Thackeray) is doing today for the greed of power”. UNI
