Rajouri gunfight: Terrorist, Army jawan killed, 3 injured

Jammu: One terrorist has been eliminated while an army jawan martyred and three other security personnel including Special Police Officer (SPO) sustained injuries in an ensuing gunfight in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official spokesman said that one terrorist killed while an Army jawan martyred, three others including one police SPO injured in the ensuing encounter in Narla area of Rajouri district.
He added that six years old Indian army dog Kent (female Labrador), of Army’s 21 Dog unit, who was at the forefront of Op Sujaligala, also sacrificed his life.
“Kent was leading a column of soldiers on the trail of fleeing terrorists. It came down under heavy hostile fire. While shielding it’s handler, it laid down own life in the best traditions of Indian Army,” he added.
