New Delhi: On the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a group of 73 ‘Swachhta Praharis’ (sanitation guards) from Delhi go to Ayodhya to have darshan of Ram Lalla and wish for his healthy and long life.
This information was given here on Wednesday by former Mayor of East Delhi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shyamsundar Aggarwal, who is the architect of this yatra.
On the 16th of September, the team will embark on a journey to Lucknow via air transportation. The following day, which happens to be the 73rd birthday of Mr. Modi, they will proceed to Ayodhya through a road trip.
In a formal statement, Mr Aggarwal informed that the group consisted of three individuals who were acknowledged by Mr Modi at the previous Prayag Kumbh for their invaluable service in upholding the legacy of the freedom fighters. Additionally, two members of the group possessed cleanliness certificates and unique pakshas, adding to their commendable credentials.
Delhi BJP President Dhar Sachdeva wishes the team good luck as they depart on September 16. They will be welcomed in Lucknow by Dr. Dinesh Sharma, former Uttar Pradesh leader and Rajya Sabha member.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working for the welfare of the opposition,” the former East Delhi mayor’s statement said. On the occasion of his birthday, he was struck with inspiration which led to the provision of financial support to numerous institutions.
He went on to mention that the majority of his team comprises of individuals between the ages of 30 and 35, who have previously served in the Delhi Municipal Corporation and continue to work as part of the staff.
