Jammu: The team of State Investigation Agency (SIA) Jammu on Thursday carried out searches in the house of three persons and recovered some relevant documents in the remote belts of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir.
The official sources said that acting on the basis of intelligence reports that helpers and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) are active in upper reaches of tehsil Mahore and Pouni area of district Reasi and providing logistics and information to anti-national elements, the SIA team conducted searches in their houses after obtaining search warrant from the courts.
Sources added that as per the inputs, the border guide and OGWs are using different applications from their android mobile phones and were in touch with Pak based terrorists and handlers.
“They are desperate to revive the terrorist activities in the hinterland,” they said.
Sources revealed that searches were carried out in a case registered under relevant sections and UAPA Act at JIC SIA Jammu in different locations in district Reasi particularly in upper reaches.
The searches were conducted in the houses of Sardar Din, resident of Khour Din, tehsil Mahore, district Reasi, presently living at Aldhara Khour, Reasi, Zubair Ahmad, resident of Dehari, tehsil Pouni, Reasi and Mohd Shafi, resident of Dubri, tehsil Mahore, Reasi in presence of executive magistrate and with the active participation of district police Reasi.
“During searches electric gadgets and relevant documents were recovered from the houses,” they said.
