J&K govt to seize properties of over 4K terrorists, supporters to dismantle ecosystem of terror

Jammu: To crackdown the ecosystem of terrorism, the Jammu and Kashmir government along with police and security forces are all set to seize properties of more than 4000 terrorists and their supporters hiding and operating within the Kashmir valley and from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.
“The administration along with police and security forces have jointly chalked out a strategy to dismantle the terror network,” sources said.
They revealed that as a part of the planned strategies, the properties of 4200 terrorists and their associates will be seized very soon.
“It is certain that noose will be tightened on over ground workers (OGWs) providing support to terrorists and the relatives, getting benefits are also on radar,” sources said.
They added that a list of about 4200 such elements is ready and action has already been started on it, adding, “not only carrying out terrorist activities but the supporters are also arranging hideouts, weapons and other logistic support for them. The security agencies are directed to expedite the action on ground.”
Notably, in the last one month, property of nearly two dozen terrorists has been seized in Doda and Kishtwar districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The administration is also cracking the silent network of the terrorists operating in various government departments, who are passing on vital information to their handlers across the border,” sources said.
They revealed that the Jammu and Kashmir administration have directed all the police officers from top to bottom to identify all such elements, who are engaged into anti-national activities, adding, “the government is ascertaining the details of their assets and the current status of cases against them while special instructions are issued to prepare a list of terrorists missing since years or those on the run.”
Sources said that the cops have to be answerable to the administration in action taken against such elements on ground, adding they said, “to start with, properties of missing terrorists and those operating from the Pakistan or the PoK and others settled in parts of the world fuelling terrorism in J&K, are being seized.”
“To revive the terror related activities, the terrorists are funding their handlers, supplying weapons and narcotics through various means in Jammu and Kashmir and the supporters further are attempting to radicalise local youth to achieve their goal,” they added
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), State Investigation Agency (SIA) and district-level Special Investigation Units (SIUs) have accelerated pressure building tactics on terrorists and have launched a crackdown on the local network, they said.
“Several absconding and missing terrorists have invested the money into the real estate and properties in the name of their relatives but all such assets will also be confiscated,” sources said adding that it will destroy the human links with the terrorists.
Notably, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has already cleared that no linenant approach will be adopted in dealing with the terrorists because aim is to completely destroy the ecosystem of terror.
