Police attaches properties of a drug peddlers worth lacs in Pulwama

Srinagar : Police on Tuesday attached a three-storey residential house and a vehicle belonging to notorious drug peddlers in Pulwama under the NDPS Act 1985.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the three-storey residential house on land measuring 2.1 Marlas valued at approximately 18.17 lacs located in village Naina Batapora, Pulwama belonging to drug peddlers identified as Bashir Ahmad Tramboo S/o Ali Mohd Tramboo and his wife Shahzada Bano R/o Naina Batapora, Pulwama has been attached as the said house was linked to case FIR Nos. 79/2022 under section of 8/15 and 185/2022 under section NDPS Act of Police Station Litter and FIR No. 81/2022 under section 8/21 NDPS Act of Police Station Litter, adding therein that the investigation has proved that the said immovable property was raised/used for Illicit Trafficking by the drug peddler.
Stating that the police accordingly registered the FIR at Police Station Pulwama, attached a vehicle (Private swift Dzire) bearing registration No. JK02AW-4505 belonging to drug peddler identified as Mohd Yousuf Bhat S/o Ab Rehman Bhat R/o Gusoo Pulwama, Police in it’s statement further said that the said vehicle was linked to case FIR Nos. 79/2022 under section 8/15 NDPS and 185/2022 under section 8/15, 29 of Police Station Pulwama and the investigation has proved that the said movable property was raised from Illicit Trafficking by the drug smuggler.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police warned that the drug peddlers/smugglers involved in the organized illegal narco trade shall be dealt as per law . Police in it’s said also said that the general public on this occasion appreciated the action taken by police in safeguarding them from the devastating effects of drug abuse and trafficking.
