New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday searched the premises of AAP MLA from Okhla Amanatullah Khan for over 10 hours in connection with a case related to alleged recruitment in the Delhi Waqf Board.
After the Central probe agency’s search at his premises, Khan told media persons that ED sleuths had reached his premises in the morning. The search was conducted in connection with an FIR registered by the CBI in 2016, a chargesheet for which has already been submitted and the hearing is ongoing.
The ED raided Khan’s premises as part of its probe into the money laundering angle of the said scam, sources said.
In September last year, Amanatullah was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of Delhi Police in a case related to alleged irregularities in appointments.
The latest ED raid of Khan’s premises came days after the agency arrested AAP leader and MP Sanjay Singh after raids at his residence and questioned him for over 10 hours in a case linked to the Delhi liquor policy. UNI
