Srinagar: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir from Wednesday, officials said. On Wednesday, the President will grace the 20th convocation of the University of Kashmir at Srinagar. She will be the Chief Guest of the convocation and deliver the convocation address and present degrees and medals to outstanding scholars. Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir, UT and Chancellor Kashmir University, Manoj Sinha will preside over the ceremony. President Murmu will also interact with the members of local tribal groups and women Self Help Groups at Raj Bhavan, Srinagar on Wednesday. She will also attend a civic reception to be hosted in her honour at the Raj Bhavan, an official spokesman said. On Thursday, the President will visit Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine where she will inaugurate a remodeled Parvati Bhavan and skywalk. Security has been beefed up in Srinagar for the President’s visit to Kashmir. UNI
