Bishrampur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday made a withering assault on Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel by describing him as a “shameless” leader who is being avoided by Congress bigwigs and does not deserve to occupy his official position for a day longer.
Addressing a public meeting in this town of election-bound Chhattisgarh, the visiting dignitary averred, “The CM’s near and dear ones are behind bars, raids are unearthing hoards of cash along with evidence.
A speculation scam was perpetrated even in Mahadev’s name and the CM’s workplace became a den of speculators. The prime accused revealed on television that he paid in excess of Rs 500 crore as inducement to the CM.”
Continuing his blitzkrieg, the Prime Minister alleged that the state’s Congress dispensation is playing the role of a roadblock vis-à-vis permanent dwellings for the impoverished.
“That party’s leaders have scant concern for your sons and daughters as was proved by the Public Service Commission inconsistencies. A transfer-and-posting industry operates in this state where the peasantry was deceived through a mirage of agrarian debt waiver,” he added.
