Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday assured the expeditious formation of a committee on Scheduled Castes (SC) categorization.
Making this announcement at a public meeting titled “Anagarina Vargala Viswarupa Mahasabha” (‘Vishvarupa Mahasabha of Depressed Communities’) organized by Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, he emphasized his commitment to ensuring justice for the Madigas.
PM Modi stated, “We feel injustice has been done to Madigas. I worked under the leadership of Bangaru Laxman, a Madigala child. As an activist, I learned a lot from Bangaru Laxman.
Manda Krishna, who has been fighting for 30 years, is a true warrior. He has shown so much devotion to the Madiga community. Thank you. I have been invited to this meeting with much love. I have seen many governments after independence. The difference between those governments and ours.
BJP is committed to social justice. Sabka Saath.. Sabka Vikas is our policy. Our full support for Madigala’s struggle. One Life, One Mandakrishna fought like a mission. My full support for Madiga’s struggle of 30 years.
Eradication of poverty is our first priority. Many parties have used you, saying that they will do justice. You have come to atone for the sins committed by the parties. You don’t need to ask anything anymore. We are taking steps towards social justice.” Modi said.
Prime Minister Modi clarified that this is a universal Mahasabha of the downtrodden and Mandakrishna Madiga is like his younger brother. He thanked the Madiga community for their spirited invitation to the gathering.
Criticizing BRS and Congress, Modi labeled them as corrupt and anti-Madigas. He accused CM KCR of cheating by announcing Dalit as CM and failing to deliver on promises like three acres of land for Dalits. Modi declared that BRS leaders were the primary beneficiaries of he Dalit Bandhu program.
Modi cautioned that Congress and BRS are opportunistic parties. He noted that the Congress had defeated Dr B R Ambedkar twice and criticized their failure to display Dr Ambedkar’s portrait in Parliament Central hall or grant him the Bharat Ratna. Modi highlighted the BJP-led NDA government’s commitment to the betterment of all sections, displaying Ambedkar’s portrait in the parliament Central hall, and conferring the Bharat Ratna award.
Modi pointed out that BJP appointed a Dalit, Ram Nath Kovind, as President and a tribal woman, Droupadi Murmu, as President, contrasting Congress’s opposition to these appointments.
Mandakrishna expressed hope that the BJP is the only party capable of resolving their aspirations.
He thanked Modi for attending Vishwarupa Mahasabha, stating, “Congress, BRS… are just saying words. It is the BJP that fulfills our aspirations.
BJP is the party that supports the weaker sections. Only BJP announced to make BC the CM of Telangana. Modi came to our meeting because he has social consciousness.
Prime Minister Modi is a leader who keeps his word. Modi knows our problems because he comes from the weaker sections.
There is not a single Madiga person in KCR’s cabinet. More ministerial positions were given to less populous castes.
Modi is credited with making Narayanaswamy from Karnataka a Union Minister. The Triple Talaq Act was brought to remove the hardships of Muslim girls. Modi brought the Women’s Bill, which had been delayed by the Congress for years.
We have been fighting for SC classification for 30 years. Asking Modi to solve the issue of SC classification. Many people from Congress and BRS also came to this meeting. If we do SC classification, we will support Modi regardless of parties. If we do classification, we will support BJP in southern states. Let us all stand by Modi regardless of parties.
Modi is the fear of the enemy countries, the security of the people of our country. We did not expect PM Modi to come to this meeting. This society did not see us as human beings. This society saw us as worse than cattle.” Mandakrishna said.
Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy, Narayanaswamy, L Murugan, BJP National leaders Etala Rajender, Bandi Sanjay, Laxman, and others participated in the meeting.
