To destress its employees, J&K State Taxes Department initiates sports activities

Jammu: With an aim to distress it’s employees, Jammu and Kashmir State Taxes Department has initiated sports activities in various disciplines to be organised every Saturday.
The tournament in the discipline of badminton was inaugurated by Additional Commissioner (Enforcement and Administration) Namrita Dogra.
“The department organised Badminton Tournament for officers and officials to ensure physical and mental wellbeing of staff,” said the Additional Commissioner. She said that a series of activities are planned for the officers and officials, who usually have less exposure to physical activities due to the nature of their job profile.
“The initiative will not only refresh their minds and keep them physically active but also destress them, as sports must be included as a routine activity for everyone to stay healthy,” she added.
The State Taxes Department, however, will be focusing on mental wellbeing, swachhta, health checkups, and sports activities.
The officials on Saturday aggressively participated in the event.
