Basketball, gymnastics & archery kicked off on day 3 of SFA Championships in Mumbai

Mumbai: Altogether 1,700 athletes participated in basketball, gymnastics and archery competitions that were kicked off on day three of SFA Championships here on Tuesday.

Gymnastics featured talent in the U-8, U-10, U-14 and U-17 categories, showcasing the growing interest of athletes in this sport.

The Championships saw emerging young talent, Anoushka Shah, a national-level player in gymnastics and student of Dhirubhai Ambani International School, competing in U-17 at the SFA Championships.

The Recurve archers showcased precision and focus in action, as Swaroop Ganesh Kasekar clinched gold and Vikrant Madan secured silver in U-10 Boys (Recurve Bow).

In the U-17 Girls (Recurve Bow), Pari Pawan Gosavi won gold, while Samvita Kannan secured silver and Samar Gindodiya picked the bronze.

Reeva Sandeep Shinde from Convent of Jesus & Mary International School, Kharghar, and eighth in national ranking for archery, took part in the U-14 category.

In a day filled with agile moves and strategic plays, the basketball competition witnessed over 600 participants battling it out in U-11 and U-14 categories.
