Bhubaneswar: Tata Power has energised more than 10 lakh connections in Odisha.
A release issued by Tata Power here on Wednesday said backed by the radical process simplification initiatives by these Discoms, the prospective customers can now easily apply through multi-touch points such as website, call, missed call, SMS, WhatsApp, E-Mail and customer care centre.
With minimum document requirements, Discoms have significantly reduced the steps involved in the connection process while also digitising them, making the process simpler for customer convenience.
The ease of getting connections across urban and rural areas has enabled the rapid growth of economic activity in the state.
The company claimed that it has been providing reliable and quality power supply to a populace of the entire state, by implementing advanced systems, such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Geographic Information System (GIS), and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
