“For 70 years, India has not won as many medals in sports as have been won under the Modi government. This has happened because earlier players from big cities, Mumbai, Calcutta and many states were invited to participate in the Olympic Games, Asian Games and other games, but due to the policy of Modi, players from the poor, farmers, villages and towns of the country for a chance to participate and got more and more medals,” he said.

“In 2014, the sports budget was more than Rs 1,000 crore, but the BJP government increased that budget to more than Rs 3,000 crores. Till now, the government was not providing assistance to the players preparing for the Olympics, but now they are being provided assistance. A budget of Rs 1,000 crore has been given for Khelo India. Players have been sent abroad by the government for training,” he said.

Cheap medicines were not available, but ever since Narendra Modi became the PM, India has left many countries behind by starting production of medicines, aircraft and other things, he said.
He said that India has overtaken Japan to become the second largest automobile manufacturer.
“Work is being done to connect every village with a pucca road. For 70 years, planes used to crash but now India is making all-round development by manufacturing new planes. Now bullet proof jackets are being manufactured in India,” he said.
