BJP hopeful of winning 50 plus seats in Assembly elections

Srinagar: A top leader of Bhartiya Janata Party on Thursday predicted that they will win over 50 seats in Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
BJP General Secretary, organization Ashok Koul said that the party is fully prepared for elections in J&K that are likely to take place before September next year.
“Supreme Court has directed Election Commission of India to hold Assembly elections in J&K by September 30, 2024. So, I would like to tell other political parties to gear up for elections while our party is also fully prepared. We are hopeful to get more than 50 seats in Assembly elections whenever it will take place,” Koul told reporters in Srinagar after several activists joined the party.
The BJP said around 200 formally joining the BJP, relinquishing their affiliations with the National Conference, Congress, and other local parties.
Koul expressed his appreciation for the increasing recognition of the BJP as a trusted and commendable party nationwide, offering ample opportunities for its members to showcase their abilities.
BJP’s Media Incharge Kashmir, Sajid Yousuf Shah highlighted that a substantial number of individuals from across the Kashmir valley, including many prominent figures, are expected to join the party in the coming week.
Shah emphasized the growing strength of the BJP, attributing it to the increasing faith of the people in Narendra Modi’s leadership and the party’s commitment for the upcoming 2024 elections.
