SFs launch search, combing Op in Samba dist

Jammu: Security forces on Wednesday launched a search and combing operation in view of forthcoming Amarnath Yatra and recent detection of a cross border tunnel in the bordering Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Abhishek Mahajan said that Police along with Army and CRPF successfully culminated two days of massive search cum combing operation and patrolling in Border areas of the Samba District.
“The operation was carried out in the border belt ahead of Amarnath Yatra by the Samba Police with the help of sister agencies and have increased surveillance in Border areas to thwart any nefarious designs of Anti-National Elements,” he said.
The SSP added that the two day long patrolling and search exercise started from Zero Border fencing line and it covered villages Dayalachak, Phulpur, Pangdour, Bain, Glar upto Chak Faquira and all other vulnerable points were also searched thoroughly.
Besides increasing presence at the checkpoints especially in the border areas, the Samba Police is also maintaining high vigil over any suspicious movement in the area.
