J&K LG appeals for patience from Kashmiri Pandits

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday reiterated that all measures would be taken for safety and security of Kashmiri Pandits and their issues will be resolved.
He appealed to Kashmiri Pandits to be a little more patient.
After the killing of Rahul Bhat in his office at Chadoora Budgam, Kashmiri Pandit employees and many from the community have been continuously protesting against the government outside the migrant transit camps in the valley. They are demanding transfer out of Kashmir .
“The recent killing of Rahul Bhat is unfortunate. A SIT (Special Investigation Team) has been formed. We will look at the report once it is in. All residents of J&K including Kashmiri Pandits have the right to be safe,”J & K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha told reporters in Srinagar.
He said though it has been peaceful overall, however, some incidents did happen.
“We are forming a strategy to fight this (targeted attacks),” he added.
He appealed to Kashmiri Pandits to be little patient.
“We will take care of their safety and interests. They have been working here for a long time. People of Kashmir also want that brotherhood is maintained. I appeal to them that they should keep a little patience. I assure them that all the issues that have been raised and brought into my notice will be resolved,” he added.
When asked about Omar Abdullah’s remark on the Kashmir situation , LG Sinha said that everyone is aware of the statistics but he would like to say that the situation in Kashmir is much better now as compared to previous years.
