Jammu: The State Investigating Unit of Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday raided the Gandoh belt of Doda district and searched the houses of terrorists ex-filtrated to Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda, Abdul Qayoom said that the raids were conducted by the Special Investigation Unit Doda in connection with case registered at Police Station Gandoh.
In the operation, SIU Doda searched houses of local terrorists presently operating from PAK/PoK namely Atta Mohd alias Adil Mubassir of Tanta Kahara, Mohd Yasir alias Shahid of Kunthal Tanta, Mohd Shafi alias Nadeem Bhai of Trinkal tehsil Kahara, Amjid Ali alias Rashid of Trinkal Kahara and Majid Hussain alias Abu Zahid Saqib of Manoie tehsil Chilli Pingal Gandoh.
All these local terrorists have ex-filtrated to Pak or PoK in the early 90s and are presently operating from Pakistan and are desperately trying to revive militancy in Doda district by contacting the local youth through various virtual mode and instigating them to join militancy.
The SSP further added that the evidence, clues surfaced during searches and raids are being made part of the investigation of the case and further lead to identify the supporters and sympathisers of terrorists who are working as Over Ground Workers for terrorists organisation will be booked.
