Rain in Kashmir leads to temp dip

Srinagar: Incessant rain lashed Kashmir on Friday, bringing down the day temperature.
The Meteorological Department has predicted erratic weather for four more days.
The MeT said Srinagar received 12.3 mm of rainfall since Thursday night. Qazigund in south
Kashmir received 7.4 mm of rainfall while north Kashmir’s Kupwara town received 5.3 mm of rainfall.
Gulmarg received 8 mm while Pahalgam received 9.9 mm of rainfall, the official said.
The rainy weather over the last few days also caused a dip in the temperature in the Valley.
The day temperature dropped 6-10 degree Celsius while the night temperature was recorded below normal by 2- 6 degree Celsius
MeT officials said Srinagar recorded 19.2 degree Celsius as the day temperature, almost seven degree below normal temperature. The day temperature in Pahalgam was 17.8 degree Celsius
and the ski resort of Gulmarg recorded 9 .4 degree Celsius.
The MeT predicted intermittent light rain, Thunder, lightning at few places in Kashmir for next two days.
Fairy widespread rains are expected from May 29 to 30.
The MeT predicted fairly widespread intermittent light to moderate rain, thunder, lightning with possibility of hailstorm and gusty winds at few places from Monday for two days.
