President Murmu emphasises the role of education in progress

Hyderabad: President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the pivotal role of good education in unlocking the doors of progress, emphasising that coupled with good health, it keeps individuals active in life.

Addressing the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of MNR Education Trust at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, on Wednesday evening, President Murmu noted that the institution’s continuous growth over 50 years reflects a clear vision and sustained, well-conceived efforts to fulfill that vision.

The President emphasised India’s significant standing in the global knowledge economy, attributing this status to the IT companies in Telangana, particularly in Hyderabad, and the talented IT professionals from the state who have made substantial contributions to India’s reputation.

She commended the global recognition received by Indian IT professionals and the achievements of students from Hyderabad in various fields, including engineering, underscoring the remarkable contribution of educational institutions to this success.

President Murmu called for institutions engaged in education and health to collaborate in the nation-building process, with a special focus on rural education and medical facilities.

She stressed the importance of making education and health services accessible to all for the overall development of Telangana and the entire country.

The President urged the MNR Educational Trust to continue its efforts for the educational development and health welfare of people from marginalised sections, emphasiing a significant contribution towards women’s empowerment through attention to their education and health.
