Pregnant lady stranded in an ambulance after an avalanche, along Srinagar Leh highway, rescued

Srinagar: A pregnant lady who was stranded in an ambulance after it was caught in an avalanche was rescued by Beacon personnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday evening.

Officials of Beacon said the ambulance which was on its way to Srinagar was hit by a snow avalanche at Panimata in late evening hours.

“A pregnant lady was trapped in the ambulance after the avalanche. She was successfully rescued by team Beacon,” a senior official said
