COVID-19: Five more die of COVID in Kashmir, toll 683 in JK

Srinagar: Five more patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 have died in Kashmir division on Friday, thus taking the toll of deaths due to Novel Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir to 683.

An official told the news agency KNO that five patients who died today include a 76-year-old man from Mehjoor Nagar, a 65-year-old man from Tanghdar, a 62-year-old man from Sallar Pahalgam, a 60-year-old woman from Guzarbal Ganderbal and a 64-year-old man from Dalgate Srinagar.

An official from SMHS Srinagar said that a patient from Mehjoor Nagar who was admitted on 24 August with diabetes, bilateral Pneumonia and other ailments and a patient from Tanghdar who was admitted on 27 August with pneumonia died on Friday.

An official from SKIMS Soura said that a patient from Saller Pahalgam who was admitted on 22 July and a patient from Guzarbal Ganderbal who was admitted on 21 August died on Friday.

An official from CD hospital said that a patient from Dalgate Srinagar who was admitted on 20 August died on Friday.
With five more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 683 including 626 from Kashmir division and 57 from Jammu division— (KNO)
