Prominent among those who joined Apni Party includes Mohammed Farooq, Deepak Bradu, Haji Bashir, Mohammed Rafiq, Rinku Master, Sohail Vaid, Gurpurbh Singh, Wasim Khan, Liyqat Ali, Mohammed Akram and others, all residents of Ismailpur Barodhi.

While welcoming them into the party folds, General Secretary of Apni Party Vikram Malhotra said that BJP in Jammu Division and PAGD in Kashmir Division have been playing with the sentiments of the people to gain votes.
“They have hands in glove with each other with a motive to benefit in District Development Council (DDC) elections. This is the same situation when PDP used to criticize BJP in 2014 and BJP launched a campaign in Kashmir against BJP. It is not hidden from the people that both these political parties despite opposing ideology came into alliance and formed a Govt in J&K,” said Malhotra.
He said that a similar strategy has been chalked out by the Kashmir based political parties and Congress Party alongwith BJP so that they can win elections in Kashmir and BJP in Jammu region.
Speaking on the occasion, Former Minister and Provincial President, Manjit Singh cautioned that “This ideology has already created a wedge between the two regions of J&K and damaged the mutual relations. The divisive politics is again being played by these political parties and the people should be aware of their motives behind this misleading utterance against each other.”
The former minister said that “Jammu and Kashmir needs a political party which can drive people towards development and far away from hatred.”
He appealed to the people to support Apni Party candidates and expose those trying to create divisions.
The former minister said that the developmental issues are not being addressed by the BJP and instead, they have started targeting PAGD and consume time so that the DDC elections pass with the victory of their candidates.
