DHSK Rebuts Reports of ‘Non- functioning of Heating Systems’ in Kashmir Hospitals

Srinagar: Directorate of Health Services Kashmir on Friday rebutted the reports of ‘non-functioning of heating systems’ in Kashmir hospitals.

Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, in a statement issued to GNS, said that all heating systems presently are in place e.g ACs, heaters, gas heaters etc n function in all critical areas such as labour rooms, theatres new born beds etc.

He said that reports being circulated on social media are baseless and there is no need pay heed towards these reports.

Spokesperson DHSK Dr Mir Mushtaq said that DHSK, as per the statement, had already issued circular in this regard and heating arrangements have been made where ever required.

He said that a circular vide order no PS/DHSK/2023/6952-7033 dated 07-11-2023 has been  issued wherein concerned authorities were directed to make heating arrangements and accordingly they were made.

He, as per the statement, said that usually central heating systems are being made functional on 15 November however officials have disbursing powers have been given authority to use the system where ever they feel necessary. Director health services further said in view of the unpredictable nature of our weather we have kept many alternative arrangements in places to face any kind of exigency. (GNS)
