Nicaragua calls on ICJ to oblige Germany to halt military aid to Israel

Managua: Nicaragua calls on the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to oblige Germany to halt military assistance to Israel that can be used in violation of the Genocide Convention, Nicaragua’s agent ambassador to the ICJ, Carlos Jose Arguello Gomez, said on Monday.

“This is the explanation of the provisional measures requested—the first request and order that Germany suspend its aid to Israel, in particular its military assistance, including military equipment… that is used or may be used in the violation of the Genocide Conversation, international humanitarian law, or other imperative norms of general international law,” Arguello Gomez said during a court hearing on Nicaragua’s lawsuit against Germany.
