Washington: US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Tuesday that the Treasury “will not hesitate to work with our allies” to continue to sanction Iran, according to an advance copy of her speech provided to the press.
“I want to address the unprecedented attack on Israel this past weekend by Iran and its proxies.
Treasury will not hesitate to work with our allies to use our sanctions authority to continue disrupting the Iranian regime’s malign and destabilising activity,” Yellen said in prepared remarks for a press conference ahead of the 2024 spring meetings of the IMF and World Bank.
