Srinagar: Police on Thursday after obtaining attachment order passed by Court of Sub Judge Uri attached property worth lacs belonging to a militant handler based in Pakistan here in Baramulla district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the property including 6 Kanals and 10 Marlas land worth lacs belonging to a militant handler based in Pakistan identified as Adrees Ahmad Mir S/o Shakar Din Mir R/o Singtung Gowhallan Uri, District Baramulla has been attached.
Stating that the said action was taken under sections of 83 CRPC and are linked with case FIR No.91/1998 under section 2/3 EIMCO Act of Police Station Uri, Police in its statement further said that the property belongs to absconder as per the investigation/enquiry conducted by Police.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that in the first four months of current year, Police in Baramulla have attached 46 kanals of land belonging to 11 militant handlers who are currently operating from Pakistan.
