Jammu Police slaps PSA on five bovine smugglers

Jammu: Tightening noose on bovine smuggling under operation ‘Kamdhenu’, police detained five bovine smugglers under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).
The police spokesman said that PSA has been slapped on five bovine smugglers, namely Raj Ali alias Kalu Gujjar of Trangla, Tehsil Khour, Ghulam Murtaza of Israrabad Sidhra, Shakeel Mohammad of Kadya, Tehsil R. S. Pura, Muskan Ali of Jidhra, Tehsil Dansal, and Jaffer Ahmed of Majeen Ragura, Sidhra, all from district Jammu.
The mentioned bovine smugglers, spokesman said, were booked under Public Safety Act for their continuous involvement in bovine smuggling in an organised manner.
The accused did not mend their behaviour in refraining their involvement in bovine smuggling, inspite of being booked several times in multiple FIR’s by various police stations in Jammu District.
Keeping in view their activities, they were ordered to be detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA) by the District Magistrate of Jammu.
