Hardik to lead charge in NZ T20Is

Mumbai: All-rounder Hardik Pandya will be leading the India’s 16-member squad for the T20I series of the New Zealand tour, starting from November 18.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced the squads for the upcoming tour of New Zealand and Bangladesh, starting after the ICC T20 World Cup.

Shikhar Dhawan, on the other hand, will leading the side in New Zealand ODI series, which starts on November 25. Rishabh Pant has been named the vice-captain in both T20 and ODI series.

Senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have been rested for New Zealand tour.

India will play a three-match T20I and ODI series in New Zealand after the T20 World Cup followed by a three-match ODI and two-match Test series against Bangladesh in December.

Ravindra Jadeja, who missed the T20 World Cup due to knee injury and went underway a surgery last month, have been named in both the ODI and Test squads for tour of Bangladesh, starting in December.
